About Kristen The Jeweler

Born in Nashville, TN, to a creative/entrepreneur and musician, Kristen's passion for jewelry and natural talent led her to seek advice from Owen Sweet, a local jewelry designer, who recommended she work for a large chain store to learn the basics. Her journey started back in 2011 in retail and from there, Kristen attended Jewelry Making and Repair School and has since taken many other courses, including Stone Setting at New Approach School for Jewelers and Jewelry Repair at Stewart’s International School for Jewelers. 

Kristen's passion has led her to create not one, but three incredible jewelry brands. In 2017, she started A Karat Company, a fine jewelry brand for kids, and in 2021 launched Kristen the Jeweler, offering custom jewelry and repairs, and KTJ Fine Jewelry, a fine jewelry brand of both handmade and sourced jewelry. 

But wait, there's more! Kristen does everything herself, from handmaking jewelry to building her own website, creating and running her social media accounts, facilitating customs and repairs, sourcing quality fine jewelry, and even making her own packaging and marketing materials. Her wealth of knowledge spans from the manufacturing and making of jewelry to diamonds, gemstones, and all the various types of metals used in making. Kristen is known for being honest, kind, and fair and loves to consult and teach people about all things jewelry.

When Kristen isn't working her magic on jewelry, you can find her enjoying lake life, watching comedy shows or trying new restaurants with her fiancé, or driving her teenage baseball player around. They also have a dog named Puppy and a leopard gecko named Leggo. Kristen and her family currently reside in Land O Lakes, Florida, where she continues to inspire and amaze with her stunning jewelry creations.
